The QOL Academy helps hospitality teams and independent wellbeing practitioners turn wellbeing into a more professional, consistent part of the guest experience all year long.

The problem (on Ibiza)
Ibiza sells wellbeing to the world. But the system behind that promise is still shaped by seasonal instability. That creates structural friction for practitioners, hospitality businesses, and the island as a whole.
Labor mismatch
Seasonal contracts, housing pressure, and short-term hiring cycles make continuity difficult. High turnover weakens trust, consistency, and the overall quality of delivery.
Lack of shared standards
Roles in guest experience, wellbeing, and community-building carry real responsibility, but often lack shared standards, role clarity, and professional development pathways. As a result, “wellbeing” easily becomes a marketing word instead of a professional discipline.
Experience credibility gap
Many hospitality brands position themselves around transformation, conscious lifestyle, and wellbeing. But without training, standards, and accountability, delivery depends too much on individual effort instead of a well-designed system.
Economic fragility
An economy built on peak-season intensity without stronger year-round human infrastructure remains vulnerable. A mature destination needs more than strong branding. It needs stable people, clearer roles, and better systems behind the experience it sells.
how it works
The QOL Academy brings hospitality teams and independent wellbeing practitioners together in one practical program. They work on the real delivery of wellbeing inside hospitality settings on Ibiza.
Together, participants define roles, improve collaboration, set clearer standards, and strengthen how wellbeing shows up across the guest journey. This includes how teams communicate, how practitioners fit into the operation, and how the experience becomes more consistent in practice.
For hospitality teams, this means translating wellbeing into operations. They work on service standards, staff roles, guest touchpoints, and the practical conditions needed to deliver a more credible experience.
For independent practitioners, this means moving beyond loose seasonal gigs and stepping into a more structured professional role. They work on collaboration standards, positioning, scope of work, and how to operate in stronger alignment with hospitality settings.
The Academy is built on three pillars:
Professionalizing
Wellbeing becomes a structured part of quality delivery, not something left to personality, goodwill, or improvisation.
Shared language
Hospitality teams and practitioners work from the same standards, expectations, and definitions, reducing friction and increasing credibility.
Extended guest relevance
Wellbeing becomes more than a one-off activity during a stay. It becomes part of a more thoughtful guest experience that can continue before, during, and after the visit.

the setup
The Academy runs during Winter and Spring, using Ibiza’s lower season as a working period to prepare people, partnerships, and systems before the next peak season begins.
The format is blended:
- Academy-based sessions for group learning, practical frameworks, and working sessions
- On-site sessions inside real hospitality environments, where ideas are tested and applied in practice
- Online sessions for shared input, reflection, and alignment
For hospitality management and senior operational teams, the process includes guided sessions, practical exercises, and an on-site implementation track inside the business. The outcome is a Quality of Life Integration Plan: a practical document that defines how wellbeing can be delivered more clearly, consistently, and professionally in that specific setting.
For independent practitioners and facilitators, the process includes professional development, collaboration training, and practical alignment with hospitality standards. The outcome is a Professional QOL Practice Framework: a working model that clarifies role, scope, standards, and how to build more stable year-round practice.
Recognition and standards
Participants receive proof of completion from the QOL Academy. As the model develops, this can grow into an assessed pathway that helps recognize practitioners and hospitality teams working to defined Quality of Life standards.
Benefits for practitioners
Professional positioning
Move from informal, seasonal engagement to a clearer professional role with stronger standards, scope, and collaboration.
Income stability
Build a model that is less dependent on peak-season spikes and better suited to continuity throughout the year.
Sustainable workload design
Develop practical ways to manage intensity, pacing, and personal capacity across seasonal cycles, so the work becomes more sustainable in real life, not just attractive on paper.
Benefits for hospitality
Operational consistency
Teams trained in human-centered standards make clearer day-to-day decisions under pressure. This improves consistency, reduces avoidable friction, and strengthens continuity across shifts and seasons.
Workforce stability
Embedding Quality of Life into daily operations can support retention, reduce burnout risk, and create more attractive conditions for longer-term professional engagement.
Strategic positioning
Wellbeing becomes more credible when it is supported by real operational frameworks instead of surface-level storytelling. This strengthens guest trust, brand integrity, and collaboration with qualified professionals, while avoiding empty wellness theater in a linen shirt.
Benefits for Government
Workforce stabilization
A more structured development cycle reduces dependence on short-term labor patterns and helps ease some of the wider pressure created by seasonal volatility, including strain on housing, services, and reactive workforce measures.
Policy coherence
Quality of Life becomes more than a symbolic ambition. It becomes something that is embedded in economic activity, helping align labor policy, economic development, and lived experience more closely.
Economic maturity
The Academy supports a shift away from peak-season dependency toward a more resilient year-round model. That strengthens credibility not through branding alone, but through stronger human capacity and better systems on the ground.
From idea to real-world action
The Quality of Life Academy is not a fixed public program yet. It is a pilot-ready concept that can be shaped with the right partners into a practical working model.
How we can work together
The Quality of Life Academy is currently in development, with Ibiza as the first pilot location. From there, the model is designed to be relevant in other destinations and contexts where human experience, workforce quality, and wellbeing delivery matter.
I’m inviting partners, pioneers, and organizations to help shape it in practice. This is not about buying a finished product. This is not about buying a finished concept. It is about building a future model together, starting in Ibiza and learning what truly works.
