The 17 Living Goals
The 17 Living Goals are open. They were built to be used, not owned.
You may use them in your own work — a strategy, a report, a policy, a workshop, a curriculum, a business — including commercially. You may adapt them. You may build on them. Attribution is the only condition: name them as the 17 Living Goals, and credit Business Hippie Club (businesshippie.club).
Released under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
Two things stay ours: the names — the 17 Living Goals™, the Ideal World Compass™ — and the Compass itself, along with its scoring, interpretation, and Canvas. Use the goals freely. Call your assessment your own.
How to cite: The 17 Living Goals, Business Hippie Club (businesshippie.club).
Everything else
The QOL System, the Business Hippie Way, and all QOL publications, reports, and fieldwork remain proprietary. They may be referenced and cited with attribution. They may not be reproduced, taught, licensed, or used commercially without a formal agreement with Business Hippie Club.
Privacy
This covers the Ideal World Compass and the Quality of Life Study.
Who holds your data
Hans van de Rakt, Business Hippie Club, Ibiza, Spain.
What the Compass collects
Your first name, city and country. On the work lens, optionally, the company or team it’s about. Then your answers: what brought you here, your picks for the ideal, your 17 scores, your overall satisfaction score and any comment you add. In group readings, a few broad bands such as role or time in the place. The Compass itself asks for no email address and no street address.
Why
To write your canvas, and for the Quality of Life Study. The basis is your consent, given when you continue past the notice at the start.
Who else handles it
Your answers are stored in a database in the EU, run through Lovable. Your canvas is written by Anthropic’s Claude, which receives your answers without your name. When you finish, I get a notification email with your name and answers, sent through Resend.
What gets published
Only patterns across many answers. Never a name, and nothing for any group smaller than ten.
If you buy the workbook
I also hold your email address, to send you the private link. Stripe handles the payment and receives your card details and email; I never see your card. Your workbook is written by Anthropic’s Claude from your canvas, without your name. The email with your link goes out through Resend. The basis here is the purchase itself: I need these details to deliver what you bought. Payment records are kept for as long as tax rules require.
How long
Your answers are kept for as long as the study runs, or until you ask for them to be removed.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent. Email contact@businesshippie.club. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD.
